Maharashtra: On Sunday, a bus carrying 48 people overturned in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, killing two students and injuring several others. The incident occurred in Raigad’s Khopoli police station area when students were returning from a picnic when their bus overturned.
A case has been opened, according to the police.

“The bus overturned as students were returning from a picnic.” “A case has been filed,” said Gauri More Patil, Senior Police Inspector, according to ANI.

An official said the incident happened around 8 p.m. near Magic Point hill on the old Mumbai-Pune highway, about 14 km from Lonavala hill station.

He said the private bus was carrying at least 49 students from a coaching class in Mumbai’s suburban Chembur, all of whom were in class 10.
