The Hidden History

Shraddha Murder Case: According to police sources. The 12 bone fragments discovered in Delhi’s Mehrauli forest area have been matched with samples from Shraddha Walkar’s father. Aaftab Amin Poonawala, Walkar’s live-in partner, is accused of strangling her and chopping her body into 35 pieces. The accused disposed of the parts in various parts of the national capital.

“The police have received the DNA report on the discovered bones. “The DNA in the bones matches the DNA samples from Walkar’s father,” a source said.

The bone samples were sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for DNA analysis. The forensic sciences lab handed over the results of Poonawala’s polygraph test to the police on Wednesday.

Over 20 teams of Delhi police officers and experts from the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory.  Searching for scientific, technical, and physical evidence to corroborate Poonawala’s confession and prove him the murderer.

Shraddha Murder Case: The police also requested that telecom companies track the location. Walkar Poonawala’s cellphones prior to the murder date of May 18. Police have also contacted some social networking sites to obtain information about Walkar’s profiles, banks where she managed accounts, and messaging platforms to share chats between Poonawala and Walkar with their contacts during that time period.

The Maharashtra government recently established a committee to collect information on inter-faith and inter-caste marriage couples, as well as the maternal families of the women involved if they are estranged, with its head, state minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, stating that the move is intended to avoid a repeat of the Shraddha Walkar case.

According to a Government Resolution (GR) issued on Tuesday by the state’s Women and Child Development Department, the “Intercaste/Interfaith marriage-family coordination committee (state level)” will be led by Lodha.

The committee will monitor district-level initiatives for women involved in such marriages who may be estranged from their families, so that assistance can be provided if necessary, it said.
