Vivek Oberoi, an actor, finds strength in having “made due.” The actor alleges that bullying and lobbying are part of the “evil side” of the film business and that he was a victim of these practises during one of his most tumultuous periods. Vivek opened up about his path after actor Priyanka Chopra talked about how she faced hostility in the Hindi film industry when people stopped casting her in movies, ultimately driving her to leave for the West.

On April 1, 2003, Vivek called a press conference and said that superstar Salman Khan had called and threatened him. Vivek was around then, supposedly involved with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the hotshot’s previous sweetheart.

Vivek told about the time, “I’m glad that I emerged from that.” I made it through the “trial by fire” in some way and got through it. However, not everyone will be so fortunate.” The actor stated that, looking back, he went through a lot of “unnecessary stuff,” which left him completely exhausted, shattered his morale, and forced him into a corner where he didn’t work.

I now realise that I went through a lot of unnecessary things. A tonne of entryways, a great deal of harsh stories—sort of the thing Priyanka has been insinuating moreover. Sadly, that has always been a hallmark of our industry. One of the negative aspects of our industry has been this. Additionally, I have been the victim of it. I understand how frustrating it can be and how it can make people feel extremely tired and exhausted. You have the impression that after delivering an award-winning and commercially successful performance in Shoot Out Lokhandwala, I have been sitting at home for fourteen months with no work.

Vivek praises  Priyanka Chopra

The actor called Priyanka’s statement “inspirational” and praised the Citadel actress for trying something new, which resulted in something “magical” happening to her professionally and personally. In contrast to his time, when people attempted to silence him, Vivek stated that today, if one speaks out about the harassment they experience in the industry, they are likely to find far more support.
