The World Music Day event in Dimapur will occur on June 21 at Green Park, 5th Mile. Entry will be free from 4:00 pm onward and start at 5:00 pm.

This year, in honor of World Music Day, the music industry from Dimapur is organizing a series of events, performances, and initiatives to inspire a deeper appreciation for the diverse musical traditions that exist worldwide.
A press release from the organizers said that their goal is to create a platform that celebrates cultural exchange and promotes the discovery of new sounds and rhythms from around the globe. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating World Music Day. Whether you are a seasoned musician, an avid listener, or someone exploring music for the first time, we encourage you to embrace this day as a reminder of the extraordinary power music holds to connect and inspire us all,” it added.
Further, the organizers said that “prohibiting the use of alcohol inside the Park, allows attendees of all ages to feel comfortable and secure, and enables parents and guardians to confidently bring their children to our events, knowing that they will be in a safe and alcohol-free environment.”
The event, it stated, will feature some prominent artists and bands from all over Nagaland.
