Anuradha Paudwal Meets President Murmu

Anuradha Paudwal, famous Bollywood singer, met President of India Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan and discussed various activities about her NGO Suryodaya Foundation.

Ahead of the meet, President Murmu was impressed with the work done by the NGO (Non Government Organisation) and lauded the efforts of Anuradha Paudwal and her team.

Moreover, President Murmu assured all the support possible from the government to help the foundation in its endeavors.

Suryodaya Foundation

Padmashri Awardee Dr Anuradh Puadwal established Suryodaya foundation Mumbai is a social welfare initiative in 1988.

In early 1980s, Anuradha Paudwal has been contributing to numerous philanthropic activities like donating equipment to the Neonatal ward at Nanavati hospital, Mumbai, the Sonography Center at Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, providing financial support to the under-privileged for heart operations in collaboration with Dr. Nitu Mandke, to name a few activities. Currently, she continues her charity through Suryodaya Foundation.

Ms Paudwal has devoted herself to various causes like Water Conservation projects in drought-stricken areas of the country, helping rebuild school and rural infrastructure in villages hit by natural disasters, Medical camps and medical aid distribution to hospitals in Mumbai.

The NGO, Suryodaya has done and continues to do formidable work for now in the COVID times by supplying oxygen concentrators, cylinders and ventilators to interior hospitals that are treating an overwhelming number of COVID patients.

Recent Initiatives Of Suryodaya Foundation

Sewalaya, Happy Indian Village in Latur:

Suryodaya completed a project in which the NGO donated a floor to the HIV-happy Indian Village in Latur. In Latur, HIV-positive children stay and attend schools.

The event was inaugurated by the Governor of Maharashrtra, Bhagt Singh Koshyarji. The HIV village is a home to 100 HIV-positive children in Latur. The villag provide them food, shelter, medication and education to the kids to be self independent.

Food Donation Drive:

The NGO has worked with Dr Uday Modi. He feeds abandoned elder citizens in the Mira road Bhayander area near Mumbai. Our members made food and distributed the same to 350 old people who live on their own.
