CBI Questioned Kejriwal For Nine Hours In The Liquor Policy Case

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, was questioned by CBI for approximately nine hours on Sunday in connection with the liquor policy case. According to the official statement by CBI, the questioning ended around 8:30 PM in the evening. Earlier Kejriwal was seen leaving the CBI headquarters. The investigative agency called him at 11 a.m.

The same case led to the February arrest of former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia by the investigating agency. Kejriwal’s summons led to dramatic developments in Delhi as AAP leaders protesting peacefully near the CBI office were detained.

9-Hours Enquiry by CBI

The Chief Minister of Delhi took a mid-day break during the inquiry, CBI authorities said.
While Kejriwal was being questioned, Gopal Rai, the AAP Delhi convener, called an emergency meeting at 5 p.m. Pankaj Guptam, the AAP’s national secretary attended along with Delhi mayor Shelly Oberoi and deputy mayor Aale Iqbal.

Raghav Chadha on the inquiry

Raghav Chadha, an AAP Rajya Sabha MP who was detained for the protest, stated, “The detention of the AAP leaders demonstrates that the BJP suffers from Kejriwal phobia.” We want to demonstrate to the BJP that our party emerged from the anti-corruption movement and has endured a variety of struggles. We don’t worry about the CBI, the ED, or police detention. The BJP is afraid of Kejriwal. The BJP has given in to such an act due to Kejriwal’s anxiety. Raghav stated, “We have not been informed of our crime or the IPC regulation that we have broken.”

“They want to destroy AAP so that no one can challenge the BJP.” We will not permit the central government’s demand that all of Kejriwal’s close aides be imprisoned. All the party individuals, MLAs, Punjab bureau individuals, and Delhi bureau individuals are here to dissent,” he said.
