MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Inaugurates Lucknow’s Biggest ‘Cricket Championship’

On Friday, Jai Jagat Park, Hindnagar, Kanpur Road, Lucknow city looked different; cricket players and spectators were seen full of enthusiasm and enthusiasm, and the entire park looked like a cricket stadium, with large crowds. Along with the cricket, the audience was mesmerized by the music.

Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh hosted the grand opening of the city competitions of the second phase of the Sarojini Nagar Sports League.

As the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of this cricket championship, Union Urban and Housing Minister Kaushal Kishore arrived.

This championship is the most unique and unprecedented event in the Lucknow district, with 170 teams participating, and events for urban and rural teams are organized separately.

Teams from schools compete in the championship, where the maximum age of the players is set at 19 years, and teams from independent sports clubs compete in the championship, where the maximum age of the players is set at 25 years.

According to the Sarojini Nagar MLA, this is the biggest ‘cricket championship’ in Lucknow so far.

This championship’s first league match was between Vishwanath Academy and Delhi Public School Eldeco. In an exciting match, Vishwanath Academy batted first and scored 120 runs while losing 9 wickets, while Delhi Public School could only score 68 runs while losing 7 wickets while chasing the target of 121 runs.

The match is won by Yash Vishwakarma of Vishwanath Academy. Dr. Rajeshwar Singh presented awards to the best bowler Akshat Agnihotri (DPS Eldeco), best batsman Pranjal Singh (Vishwanath Academy), and Vimal, who hit the longest six in the match.

In his speech to the youth at the time, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh emphasized the importance of healthy youth in creating a strong nation. As a result, the ‘Sarojini Nagar Sports League’ is continuously held to ensure that the youth of Sarojini Nagar remain physically fit and mentally alert.

He stated that India is a young country, with a population of youth equal to that of the fifth-largest country in the world. You have a religion, a caste, and a country among you.

He further said, “It is our goal to develop the hidden sports talents in the youth and provide them with as many opportunities to play as possible so that they can compete at the national and international levels and bring honor to the region, state, and country”.

Kaushal Kishore, the program’s chief guest, praised Dr. Rajeshwar Singh for organizing the event and praised his efforts to promote sports. After basketball, youngsters will have more opportunities to play in cricket competitions.

Kaushal Kishore said, “Youth sports involvement will rise so that they can maintain their health. MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh is bringing the spirit of the people together with this occasion, which is akin to a carnival. Women, the poor, the disabled, open gyms, digital labs, and other groups are helped by legislators”.

In remembrance of his mother Tara Singh, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh established the ‘Sarojini Nagar Sports League,’ the first phase of which included the Under-19 Girls Basketball Tournament.

The ‘Cricket Championship’ has now entered its second phase. Lala Ramswaroop Shikshan Sansthan Inter College, Banthara, will kick off the Cricket Championship (Rural) on Saturday.

The winning teams in this tournament will receive the most money ever awarded. The winning team will receive Rs 50,000, while the runner-up team will receive Rs 25,000. Aside from that, awards will be given to the man of the match, the best fielder, the best batsman, the best bowler, and the player with the most catches.

 

Retired basic teachers honored

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “The mother of all professions is teaching. Teachers are like lights; they burn to illuminate society. Retired teachers have a wealth of experience that can be used to benefit the country and society”.

Along with this, he stated that instructors should submit recommendations linked to raising the level of education, social welfare, and overall development of the area and that we will prioritize your proposals.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh appeared as the chief guest at the teacher honor and goodbye ceremony held at AP Palace in Hind Nagar on Friday. He paid tribute to Lucknow’s retired primary school teachers.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh stated that the school system in Sarojini Nagar is also being improved. Under ‘Operation Kayakalp’, I am reviving three schools.

“Digital laboratories are being established in all of the girls’ institutions to help the area’s daughters become technologically savvy. In addition, attempts are being made to create degree colleges for the education of daughters”, he added.
