Today as new beginning of Indian contribution on a global platform, India commences its G20 Presidency.

G20 Summit 2022: PM Modi explains the India’s agenda over its G20 Presidency as an ambitious, inclusive, decisive and action-oriented contribution.

G20 Summit 2022: Held at Bali, Indonesia the 17th G20 Summit on November 15 and 16, 2022 witnessed its next presidency to India by Indonesia for next one year.

‘India’s G20 priorities will be shaping in consultation with our fellow-travelers in the sphere of the Global South with its voice loud and clear. Indian priorities are going to focus on finding solutions for our “One Earth”, creating an atmosphere of harmony within the “One Family” concept of ours giving hope to our “One Future.” writes Indian Prime Minister.The presidency for the next summit was handed over to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo in Bali during the last summit in November 2022.

Hoping for the best outcome of the meet, PM Modi opined that significant results were delivered by the previous 17 Presidencies were among many other outcomes towards ensuring rationalizing international taxation, macro-economic stability along with relieving debt-burden on countries.  The global platform will get benefitted from these achievements looking forward to building further fruitful results upon them, added PM Modi.

The thinker prime minister says that however, as India holds this important mantle, I am asking myself — Can our G20 platform go further still? Are we able to catalyze a fundamental mindset direction for benefitting entire global humanity?

Talking about global perspective, Modi states that our circumstances shape our mindsets. In the entire history of mankind humanity has been dwelling in scarcity. We have fights with our neighbors for limited resources, since our survival depends on denying them to others. Thus, the global norm becomes competition and confrontation between ideologies, ideas and identities.

In his address PM Modi also adds that we unfortunately remain even today trapped in the same zero-sum mindset. We behold it when countries indulge in fighting over resources or territory. We then see it when essential goods supplies are weaponized. We need to then see it when vaccines get hoarded by a few, while billions remain vulnerable awaiting.
