‘Ladli Bahna Yojana is for the empowerment of women’: CM Chouhan congratulates the sisters for the historic scheme

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan says that Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will empower women at every level. Taking a historic decision for women’s empowerment, the cabinet has approved the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana today.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that if sisters and women are strong then the society will also be strong, if the society is strong then the state will be strong and if the state is strong then the country will also be strong. The country cannot be strong without the empowerment of half the population. That’s why a provision has been made in the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana that one thousand rupees per month will come into the account of sisters of each category in the state, whose age is more than 23 years. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that old age pension scheme is applicable for those above 60 years of age. Out of this, women now get Rs.600 per month. In this scheme also, the minimum amount will be made one thousand rupees by including more amount. In this way, sisters above 60 years will also get one thousand rupees every month.

‘Sisters would be made financially strong’

Chief Minister Chouhan said that our aim is that the way sisters have been empowered politically and socially, now they should also be empowered financially. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed confidence that the sisters will use this amount for the strengthening and betterment of the family.

Ladli Bahna Yojana will be launched on March 5

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will be launched on March 5 and applications for it will be started from this day itself. Applications will be filled from March 15 after Holi and Rangpanchami. The applications are very simple, the sisters have nowhere to go. A team will come to fill the application in their village itself. Social workers will also be present along with the administrative officer to help in the work. The work of filling the application will be completed in March and April.

The scrutiny will be done in May

The camps will also be organized in the wards of the cities. If the wards are small in the Nagar Panchayat, only one camp will be organized. And if the wards are big in the metropolitan cities, then the camps will be organized by dividing the wards. Elaborate arrangements will be made for the sisters to submit their applications easily and conveniently. After filling out the forms in March-April, the scrutiny will be done in May. This scheme is for the sisters of the family whose annual income is up to Rs.2.5 lakh. Family means husband, wife and their children. It is a basic unit of the family. Money will go to the account of the head of the sisters’ family.

Helpful for farmers’ families also

Chief Minister Chouhan said that farmer families who have less than five acres of agricultural land will also be eligible for this scheme. This is a historic scheme in itself. In the scheme, money will start being deposited in the sisters’ bank account from June 10 and then money will be deposited on the same fixed date every month. This will help sisters to know that on this date the money of the scheme will come into the account. CM Chouhan expressed confidence that Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana would be helpful in changing their lives.
