Union Minister Anurag Thakur has reacted to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s remark that he is an honest man a day before he is expected to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Delhi liquor policy case.

Mr. Kejriwal stated that while he will go to the CBI’s headquarters tomorrow, “no one in the world is honest” if he – whose Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was founded on the promise of fighting corruption – is “corrupt”.

“If Arvind Kejriwal is corrupt, then there is no one in this world who is honest”, he declared today.

“However, if the BJP has ordered the CBI to arrest me, the CBI will obviously follow their instructions”, said the Delhi Chief Minister, whose deputy, Manish Sisodia, was detained last month for suspected wrongdoing in the formulation of the Delhi liquor policy, which was later rescinded.

Mr. Thakur, the Information and Broadcasting Minister, dismissed Mr. Kejriwal’s charges about the central misusing the CBI.

The Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur tweeted, “Corrupt face of AAP CM Arvind Kejriwal is exposed. He should tell CBI how much money he & his colleagues minted out of liquor scam. Irony, Kejriwal heading cabinet of corrupt ministers is calling himself only honest man in India. Perfect example of Ulta Chor Kotwal ko Dante (thief scolding a cop)”, through his official Twitter handle.
