Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Inaugurates Capital Buses

The program was organized on the occasion of the completion of 50 years of the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today inaugurated the capital bus service by showing the green flag.

UPSRTC took to Twitter to provide information. It tweeted, “Today, on 04.02.23, Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath gifted new buses to the people of the state on Holi. The honorable Chief Minister flagged off 76 new Rajdhani service and 38 ordinary service buses. Now buses will operate from the capital Lucknow to every district of the state”, through its official Twitter handle.

An online reservation app UP-RAAHI was also launched on the occasion for the convenience of the passengers. Reservation of these buses can be done through the UP-RAAHI app.

The program was organized on the occasion of the completion of 50 years of the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department. A postage stamp has also been issued on this occasion, describing it as the Golden Jubilee, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath enumerated the achievements of the Transport Department.

On the occasion of Golden Jubilee, CM Yogi tweeted, “The journey which you have started for the last 50 years for the smooth travel of 25 crore people of the state, today it is going to add some new achievements before Holi. On the occasion of Golden Jubilee, I heartily congratulate all the officers and employees of @UPSRTCHQ: #UPCM @myogiadityanath”, through his official Twitter handle.

Referring to the budget of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said, “This time the government has sanctioned Rs 400 crore for the transport corporation to buy 1000 new buses”.

“This time the budget has given Rs 400 crores @UPSRTCHQ to buy 1,000 new buses. Also, Rs100 crore has been provided to develop bus stands on the lines of airports: #UPCM @myogiadityanath”, Mr. Yogi tweeted in another tweet.

According to the Chief Minister, the bus stands of the state will be rejuvenated and they will be developed like airports.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked the Transport Corporation to increase connectivity not only to remote villages but also to railways and airports. The work done by the Roadways Department during the Corona period was also praised during the program.
