Chairman, MD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network Upendra Rai attended the Innovative India Summit 2023 at Le Meridien Hotel in the national capital, Delhi on Tuesday. He graced the programme with his presence as the special guest of the event. The Bharat Express chief also addressed the gathering and said that “when it comes to India, the word ‘India’ includes innovation, journalism and so more, therefore, I try to make my point clear by keeping these terms in my mind.

During the event, Bharat Express’ chief and senior journalist Upendrra Rai was also honoured with Chanakya Award.

The senior journalist Upendrra Rai said, “A few ago, I went to a programme where people from Purvanchal gathered at Talkatora Stadium. Everyone said something or the other. At the event, also I addressed the gathering, beginning with a short story. The story is that- ‘There was extreme famine and draught in a village for a long time, it was dry, it was not raining. When there is a lack, there is always a man in search of how it can vanish…’”

Further, the chairman said, “When it comes to innovation, it is a matter of how a drop becomes an ocean, how your small thought becomes as big as God or becomes a part of God. The end of nature which is visible to our eyes, till that point there is nature. But the end which disappears from our eyes, from there the divine begins.”

At the programme, Union Minister Narayan Rane graced the event with his presence as the chief guest. The summit has brought together the topmost thought leaders of the country on one platform and has honoured their contribution to India’s growth. During the summit, the felicitation of the leaders was given in nine different categories.

Several other dignities include Vijay Sampla, Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Kaushal Kishore, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs were graced the event by their presence.
