December 18, 2022, is memorable now with Fitistan – Ek Fit Bharat organized Soldierathon Vijay Run across India.

In 1971, the three forces of India – the Army, Air Force, and Navy defeated Pakistan and created a new country Bangladesh. 93000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to our Indian Army. This is the biggest surrender in the world and the biggest defeat of any country.

All this was possible because of the indomitable courage and bravery of the brave soldiers of India and their sacrifice. Many comrades sacrificed their lives, many were martyred., many got injured, and many lost their limbs. Hands were cut off. Legs were amputated, and Eyes were jolted out of their socket. A lot of them were paralyzed.

There is a Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center PRC in Pune, where these soldiers are treated. Fitistan – Ek fit Bharat has adopted the Rehab Center and all the surplus funds we have collected have gone to that organization.

This program of ours named Soljrathon Vijay Run is organized on 16th December. But 18th December being the nearest Sunday, it was organized on the 18th.

More than one lakh people participated in it at 176 locations. Through, running, walking, cycling, and marathon… set a record for the highest number of people running in one day in the honor of soldiers.

From this run, we are donating Rs 25 lakh to the Pune Rehab Center and Rs 8 lakh to the Central Welfare Organization of the Indian Air Force.

Many battalions of the Army, Air Force, Navy, and NCC participated in this race.The biggest event of this Soldierathon 2022 was at Hakim Pet air force station, where about five thousand soldiers and children participated.

Air commodore Manish Sabbarwal, Gen VK Singh ex-army chief and Minister of Government of India, Gen Sidana, Sandeep Gupta CMD of Gail India, Upendra Rai, founder of Bharat Express, Rajan Tandon, Regional head HT Parekh Foundation, Bhaskar from Art of Living also participated. Air Force’s Galaxy sky diving team also performed skydiving after the Soldierathon race.

Major Surendra Poonia, Founder of Soldierathon & Fitistan along with Shilpa Bhagat, Founder of Fitistan come together to give their dream of a Fit Bharat, wings towards reality. This in itself is the beginning of a revolution in the country towards staying fit.

Those who have taken this burden on their shoulders to change the fitness trajectory of our country. The country has to be made healthy. And always stand in the service and honor of the injured soldiers.

Major Surendra Punia, the founder of soldierathon and Fitistan, said that our captains have raised the country’s biggest fitness team and next year this victory run will be on an even bigger scale.

We will give it a big expansion. The event which has been held at 176 places this time, it will be our endeavor to organize this event in 300 to 400 cities next year and contribute in making the country healthy and strong and our martyr families and help wounded soldiers. Jai Hind..Jai Bharat..Fit Bharat !!
