Yellen added that an agreement between the two nations on a universal minimum tax scheme is imminent.

Yellen said, "We have taken steps forward on urgent cases like Sri Lanka where India's proactive actions have been critical to supporting the authorities' reform efforts.

Yellen will participate in other events and bilateral meetings, including with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt.
