Mohammad bin Abdulkarim al-Issa, a close ally of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman raised two main points to explain why India was a natural partner for steeling the alliance of civilizations against intolerance.

Sheikh Mohammad Bin noted in his address, “I salute Indian democracy from the bottom of my heart. I salute the Constitution of India. I also salute the Indian philosophy and tradition that taught harmony to the world."

Dt Al Issa is on a visit to India and has met the PM besides the Foreign Minister and NSA to discuss matters of deradicalization among other issues.

"Our more than 200 million Indian Muslim brothers and sisters make us the country with the second largest population of Muslims in the world," said President Droupadi Murmu.

The President said that India and Saudi Arabia both condemn terrorism in its all forms and are calling for ‘zero tolerance’ against terrorism.

Before being appointed as the Secretary General of the Muslim World League in 2016, Al-Issa served as the Minister of Justice in the Saudi Cabinet.

He further issued a piece of advice to religious leaders saying there was a need to protect and guide the next generation.
