WHO Chief, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, commends India's profound traditional medicine legacy, notably Ayurveda and yoga, advocating their integration into global health systems.

During the ceremony, the instructor, Patil, said she has seen noticeable changes in inmates, adding that the inmates now are confident, more disciplined and prepared to embrace a positive mindset.

Notably, this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the International Day of Yoga celebration at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The veteran actor, who toplined several Hollywood hits including 'Pretty Woman', Primal Fear', 'An Officer and a Gentleman', 'Chicago', 'Days of Heaven', and 'Intersection', was pictured sitting opposite PM Modi and performing Yoga on the lawns of the UN headquarters in New York.

The Indian Navy, meanwhile, has taken the outreach international, forming an ‘Ocean Ring of Yoga’. As many as 3,500 naval officers, on board 19 ships, travelled upwards of 35,000 km to spread the message of International Yoga Day, according to the Indian Navy.
