IPL Player Demanded Bribe For Government Job By Former CM’s Nephew: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann

It was an open sale of jobs during the tenure of Channi due to which the bright career of an outstanding player was ruined.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann revealed the identity of the cricketer from whom bribe was demanded for a government job by a relative of former CM Charanjit Singh Channi.

Cricketer was asked a bribe of 2 crore

Bhagwant Mann accused a nephew of Channi who asked bribe of 2 crore from Jass Inder Singh Baidwan, who is a member of Punjab Super King for giving him a government job on the basis of PPSC exam cleared by him.

What CM said?

Bhagwant Mann added, “It was an open sale of jobs during the tenure of Channi due to which the bright career of an outstanding player was ruined. Jass Inder and his father had met the former CM at a function in the presence of former health minister Balbir Singh Sidhu.”

Job was denied

Punjab CM also accused that after demanding the bribe when Jass did not have that much amount to meet the expectations of Channi’s Nephew Jashan, he refused to offer him the job. Mann also mentioned that Jass Inder will be given the job as per the norms by the state government.
