In a collaborative endeavour to reinforce maritime security cooperation, the navies of India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) successfully conducted a military exercise.
This exercise, conducted by Indian naval ships INS Visakhapatnam and INS Trikand, marks a significant step towards enhancing mutual understanding and operational synergy between the two nations.
Joint Exercise in Dubai
INS Visakhapatnam and INS Trikand, representing the Indian Navy, arrived at Port Rashid in Dubai on August 8.
“After two days of detailed planning, the two navies conducted the bilateral maritime partnership exercise today, aimed to enhance the interoperability and synergy between the two navies by cross training on tactics, techniques and procedures,” the Indian Navy said.
The exercise focused on cross-training in tactics, techniques, and procedures, contributing to the seamless alignment of operational strategies.
Operational Capabilities of Indian Naval Ships
INS Visakhapatnam, under the command of Captain Ashok Rao, stands as one of the largest operational destroyers within the Indian Navy.
This indigenous warship, meticulously crafted by Mazagon Docks Limited, embodies advanced technology and capabilities.
Meanwhile, INS Trikand, commanded by Captain Pramod G Thomas, represents an advanced stealth frigate commissioned in 2013.
The vessel’s contemporary design seamlessly integrates state-of-the-art technology, ensuring stability, speed, and a formidable presence in maritime operations.
