Top intelligence officials told the media on Tuesday that Khalistani separatist organisations are angry about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful visit to the United States.

According to the sources, despite receiving funds from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), they haven’t been able to function well because they could only mobilise 50–60 protestors.

The US is reportedly viewing their proposal for protest rallies with mistrust, according to earlier media reports.

Following the attack on the San Francisco Indian Consulate, US security is currently denying fewer requests for such protests.

Sources said the ISI tried its best to add momentum to the campaign but failed and the Pakistani diaspora was also not keen to come to the streets.

On June 20, the Prime Minister left for his trip to the US, and on June 21, he presided over a historic ceremony at the UN headquarters in New York to recognise the ninth International Day of Yoga.

Later, President Joe Biden welcomed him at the White House in Washington, DC, on the red carpet. After their historic meeting, PM Modi addressed the US Congress and the Bidens threw a state dinner at the White House in his honour.

Several significant agreements to advance cooperation in crucial fields like defence, space, and trade distinguished the visit.
