While the Kashmir Files row keeps Israel now in the center, Israel clarifies its stand of unity with India showing empathy over Valley problem.

Referring to strong ties with India, Israel tries to show its amity on the Valley issue also saying, “Israel’s each level of the governance has the same aspiration to strengthen its ties with India.’’ The statement has recently been issued to clear the country’s stand, by a top Israeli ministry official in the  of foreign affairs.

Most of the Israelis while listing the commonalities between Indian and Israel keep Kashmir in view. And they belong to all strata of life, being  people on the street, academics or politicians. They do not hesitate to point at Kashmir while underlining how various countries face similar problems of insurgency.

Recently also during a trip to Israel, at the Kerem Shalom an official crossing between Israel and Gaza Strip has been heard saying, “You have your Kashmir, we have our Gaza Strip.’’

India and Israel are currently celebrating the thirty years of their ties. Under Modi rule, the relationship has gotten better and stronger when PM Modi taking a decisive step to de-hyphenate Indian ties with Israel and Palestine after becoming the first-ever Indian Prime Minister visiting to Israel in the year 2017.

Now the India-Israel ties will see a further push with Benjamin Netanyahu becoming the Prime Minister of Israel again being the head of a far-right coalition while the two leaders, Modi and Netanyahu enjoy personal rapport intact.

Though Israel’s five governments in the last 3 years, witessed the Indo-Israeli relationship remaining on the trajectory of global growth. Being the largest importer of Israeli defense equipment, India still makes up for forty percent of its defense exports.

Significantly, in a push for Make in India on November 21, Israel and India for developing hi-tech defense armament, have signed an agreement too.
