Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to PM Modi in which he condemned Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s ‘beggar’ remark on Kashmiri Pandits.
In a letter, regarding the problems of Kashmiri Pandits, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi wrote that the Prime Minister would help Kashmiri Pandits in the Jammu leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is continuing to unite the whole of India in the thread of love and unity.
Rahul Gandhi had met a 13-member Kashmiri Pandit delegation in Jammu’s Samba, at Zamindara dhaba in Bari Brahma, during a halt in Bharat Jodo Yatra on 23 January 2023.
Congress leader took to Twitter to deliver his letter. He tweeted,” Prime Minister, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met me and narrated their sad circumstances. It is a cruel step to force Kashmiri Pandits, the victims of targeted killing by terrorists, to go to the valley without security guarantees. Hope you will take appropriate steps in this matter.”

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Rahul Gandhi wrote, “It is a cruel step to force Kashmiri Pandits, the victims of targeted killing by terrorists, to go to the valley without security guarantees.” Rahul Gandhi said a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met him during the Bharat Jodo Yatra to discuss the issue and “narrate their sad circumstance”, in his letter to PM Modi.
“The government can accommodate these Kashmiri Pandit government staff in other departments,” Rahul Gandhi wrote.
“It is very irresponsible of the LG to use words like ‘beggar’ for them. Probably, you are not aware of the insensitive approach of the local administration,” the letter read.
Kashmiri Pandit employees have been protesting and seeking transfer out of the Valley claiming that the security situation is not favorable for their return to work but Manoj Sinha said there will be no salaries for protesting Kashmiri Pandit employees.
When Rahul Gandhi met the delegation of the Kashmiri Pandits, they said LG told them they should not beg. “Lieutenant Governor ji, Pandits are not begging, they are asking for their rights,” Rahul Gandhi said demanding an apology from the LG
