Congress Workers In Madhya Pradesh Protest By Stopping A Superfast Train

A day after Rahul Gandhi was found guilty of defamation for making a comment deemed to be an insult to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, members of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Workers stopped a fast train today in protest.

At the Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal, a large group of Congress supporters halted the train by screaming “Rahul Gandhi Jindabad; Narendra Modi Murdabad”. Also, they hoisted banners that read, “Black Day For Indian Democracy”.

As the beginning of a revolution, Madhya Pradesh Congress chairman Vikrant Bhuria declared, “Madhya Pradesh Young Congress today stopped Dakshin Express train at Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal to protest against the arbitrary disqualification of Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership”.

On the rail tracks, some of the workers were also spotted to be lying.

Many people have accused the PM Modi-led administration at the Center of utilizing the law to persecute and silence dissenters.

After receiving a two-year prison term, Mr. Gandhi was granted bail after his attorneys vowed to challenge the decision on Thursday.

The 52-year-old Congress leader’s constituency in Kerala’s Wayanad has been declared vacant by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. A special election for the position may now be declared by the Election Commission.

Numerous opposition groups, particularly the Trinamool Congress of Mamata Banerjee and the Aam Aadmi Party of Arvind Kejriwal, responded angrily to Rahul Gandhi’s exclusion from the member of parliament.

Rahul Gandhi responded to his disqualification this evening by declaring himself “ready to pay any cost”.
