The Indian Air Force's Garud Special Forces, known for their expertise in counter-terrorism, have been strategically placed in the Kashmir valley, displaying their prowess in complex terrains and urban environments.

The Indian Air Force strengthens its border surveillance with advanced Heron Mark 2 drones, featuring long-range strike capabilities, stationed at a northern air base, as part of efforts to boost combat readiness and security along China and Pakistan borders.

India is the world's biggest arms importer and Russia accounts for nearly half of the country's defence imports.

Describing "trust" as the core of the partnership between India and France, he said that this relationship between the two nations allows them to bet and jointly develop technologies and commit to each other.

India and France will also be drafting a roadmap for new cooperation on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relationship as well.

The Tarang Shakti exercise is planned to be the largest air exercise ever held in India. The participating nations will take part in the exercise with a variety of resources, including transport planes and military combat jets.

In a USD 3 billion agreement, India and the US agreed to purchase 31 High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) UAVs, of which the Navy will receive 15 Sea Guardian drones while the Army and Indian Air Force would receive eight of the land-based Sky Guardian drones a piece.

While the Navy will get 15 MQ9B drones in maritime and anti-submarine warfare kits, the Army and the Indian Air Force will get 8 each of the land version.
