Nepal Plane Crash: A day after the Yeti Airlines plane crashed in the Pokhara district in Nepal, the rescue operation resumed. According to a report by ANI, the death toll reached 68.

On Sunday morning, Yeti Airlines was carrying 72 people from Kathmandu and the plane crashed in Nepal’s Pokhara district, said the official.
In a media report, the officials said, there were 68 passengers and four crew members on board the plane that crashed between the old and the new airports in the city, located in Western Nepal. The twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft operated by Yeti Airlines was en route from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
15 foreign nationals, including six children, were on board. 53 Nepali, 5 Indian, 4 Russian, 2 Koreans, 1 Argentinean, and one each from Ireland, Australia, and France were in the plane, the airlines said in a statement.

Ahead the tragic incident, Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Moreover, Prime Minister Pushpa ‘Prachanda’ has reached the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu after the accident of the Yeti Airlines ANC ATR 72 plane carrying passengers from Kathmandu to Pokhara, said a tweet by PMO of Nepal in Hindi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Expresses His Grief
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief and prayed for the bereaved families of the Nepal plane crash.
“Pained by the tragic air crash in Nepal in which precious lives have been lost, including Indian nationals. In this hour of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families,” PM Modi tweeted.

Moreover, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar expressed grief over the incident and extended his condolences to the victims. “Deeply grieved on hearing about the air crash in Pokhara, Nepal. Our thoughts are with the affected families,” he tweeted.
